Taperecorder script for linux(Debian and Ubuntu)
« on: November 01, 2020, 10:57:16 AM »
Hi,

I have worked on a terminal script for using the adaptor under linux,
it's just version 0.5 so it is maybe a little bit buggy and won't work under newer
ubuntus and debians(had problems on my laptop, there's a newer linux installed)
checked it under:
Linux  4.9.0-14-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.240-2 (2020-10-30) x86_64 GNU/Linux

so here is the link to download:
http://www.picrard.de/downloads/taperecorder_v0.5.zip

it's a zip file, you have to unpack it first inta a directory and then you have to start
the install.sh to install it to a directory where you want, then you have to use the start.sh.

....have fun with it and please write back if you like it!

Thank you for your hard work and contribution to the scene.
I've added the link to the setting up guide so Linux users can try it out.
You should try to submit it on the alternatives list.

http://wav-prg.sourceforge.net/alternatives.html

Fabrizio Gennari might be in charge with that page.

Hi Remzi,

thank you for your post, there must be some work around on this script,
because the gnome-terminal, which I'm using as the interface,
has change its options in a later version,
so some of my commands nowadays do not work or bring an error,
so maybe I will work with another terminal, maybe lxterminal,
but this is just one script, which works together with:
tapclean and audiotap(using the text command version tap2audio and audio2tap)

will make a change when I try to use it under my Raspberry,
there is it where I want to use it mainly!

Or maybe some other has ideas to change it and uploads his version here....
